Accessible Wheelchair Vans (AWV / AWCVans) is a company that was created by people like you who have been in a position to need a wheelchair accessible vehicle. Each of the founding members has a personal story that directly links them to the purchase, rental or use of an accessible vehicle. We found that task daunting and expensive at times and decided to tackle that problem so that others do not have to overcome it. We have created an affordable solution for everyone with a need to access paratransit options.
Over 20 years ago we were in a unique position that required a way to transport a loved one who had been confined to a wheelchair. At that time there were no rental agencies available to assist us. We had to rely on expensive ambulance services or the physical limitations of utilizing an unmodified vehicle. Over the years, vehicle conversions became more prevalent and brought us to the point that we could purchase vehicles and rent them to those in need. We now have a fleet of vehicles available for daily, weekly and monthly rentals as well as a team of Paratransit Drivers who can safely take you or your loved ones to appointments.
Accessible Wheelchair Vans is committed to treating you and your loved ones as if they were family. We realize that we have the privilege of providing transportation options to a very special group of people and we take that privilege very seriously. We will provide the best possible, cleanest and safest vans for your use. Our drivers are trained thoroughly on transport of individuals in wheelchairs. They are well versed in loading and securing the wheelchair bound individual. We will always put the customer first with our outstanding customer service.
